KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M — Airmen assigned to Kirtland Air Force Base celebrated a significant milestone in their military and educational careers during the Community College of the Air Force graduation ceremony October 29, 2026.

The ceremony recognized spring and fall graduates who successfully completed the academic requirements for their associate degrees while balancing the demands of military service, professional development and personal responsibilities.

Col. Justin D. Seacrest, 377th Air Base Wing commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Andrew J. Rapsavage, 377th ABW command chief, hosted the ceremony, recognizing the graduates' dedication to education and commitment to professional excellence.

Chief Master Sgt. Aaron Waddy, 377 MXG/SELserved as the guest speaker, emphasizing the importance of education, perseverance and leadership in strengthening the Air Force's mission and developing future leaders.

"You didn’t just meet a standard today—you broke a ceiling,” said Waddy. You redefined what's possible for your family name. You proved that no matter where you started, grit, sacrifice, and determination will get you across that finish line.”

Established in 1972, the Community College of the Air Force provides enlisted Airmen and Guardians opportunities to earn associate of applied science degrees through a combination of military training, professional military education and civilian academic coursework.

As part of Air University, CCAF supports the Department of the Air Force's commitment to developing technically proficient, educated and adaptable service members prepared to meet evolving mission requirements.

For graduates, earning a degree represents more than academic achievement. It reflects countless hours of studying, determination and personal sacrifice while continuing to serve their country.

SSgt Moyosola Ajayi, Space Systems Command graduated with a degree in Air and Space Operations Technology.

When asked about her career path she said “I would love to stay in the space realm. This was my first pick for my AFSC (Air Force Specialty Code) when I get out. I would love to tailor my knowledge to be a satellite engineer or an orbital analyst, so getting more in depth with the engineering of satellite systems.”

The ceremony also recognized the contributions of the Kirtland AFB Education and Training Center, the 377th Force Support Squadron and educational partners Lewis University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for their continued support of military education and professional development.

The graduates' accomplishments demonstrate the value of lifelong learning and the Air Force's investment in its people.

Through educational opportunities such as CCAF, Airmen gain valuable knowledge and skills that enhance mission readiness, strengthen leadership capabilities and prepare them for continued success both in uniform and beyond military service.
